The Beth Longwell Foundation supports charities and organizations in the areas of childhood education, lung cancer research, grief support for children who have lost a parent, and others that honor the memory of Beth Levitas Longwell.
 About BethOn August 20, 2007, Beth Levitas Longwell lost her battle with lung cancer. Diagnosed on June 5th, just days after her 39th birthday, Beth soon learned that the cancer had already progressed to Stage 4. Always the optimist, Beth confronted the realities of her terrible illness for the next 11 weeks, modeling unimaginable strength and inspiration for all those around her. Beth was an incredibly intelligent woman who loved learning and shared this love with all whom she encountered. A voracious reader and learner, she actively pursued and valued self-edification her entire life. She understood the importance of educating others. To pursue her personal goals and to help others, Beth chose a career in teaching.
